Our client has an opportunity on the 1st shift for a Integrated Operations Technician.
This role is in the Pet department meat rooms focusing primarily on grinding, dicing, handling, and processing raw and cooked meat each day. This room is air-conditioned.
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 1st shift,
Salary: $21/ hr (contract)
Benefits: Health Insurance (Medical / Dental / Vision)
Location: “onsite” Minneapolis, MN 55427

Job Description

Our client has an opportunity on the 1st shift for a Integrated Operations Technician.
This role is in the Pet department meat rooms focusing primarily on grinding, dicing, handling, and processing raw and cooked meat each day. This room is air-conditioned.
- Safely operate equipment (mixing and grinding equipment)
- Perform setup, operations, and disassembly related to the Pet platform
- Equipment sanitation & basic equipment set up activities
- Basic technical skills: product, process and/or packaging
- Support other platforms and departments, as needed
- Knowledge and understanding of food safety requirements
- Perform risk assessments
- Basic analytical tests - operator quality checks, moisture content tests using NIR, and temperature readings using a thermometer
- Basic troubleshooting, and skill building on basic unit operations
- Ability to be flexible as needed as work needs shift
- Equipment sanitation & basic equipment set up activities
- Basic technical skills: product, process and/or packaging

Qualifications
- High School Degree – Required!
- 3-5 years of directly relatable experience and / or 2-Year Degree -Preferred!
- Basic computer/technology skills (MSOffice Products, etc)
- Steel Toe Boots/ Shoes – Required!
- Strong communication skills
- Basic understanding of food safety and human safety
- Ability to lift and transport ingredients or equipment up to 55lbs
- Ability to work in hot/ warm climate conditions
- Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer
- The position is subject to passing a background check and drug screen
