Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The LPN will provide essential nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or physician, ensuring high-quality patient care and support in various clinical settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Deliver direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with daily activities.
- Patient Assessment: Observe and record patient symptoms, behaviors, and vital signs, and report significant changes to the supervising RN or physician.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including progress notes and care plans.
- Treatment Assistance: Assist with and/or perform medical procedures, such as wound care, catheter insertion, and IV therapy, as directed by a physician or RN.
- Coordination: Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Education: Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques.
- Compliance: Adhere to all healthcare regulations, safety protocols, and infection control procedures.
- Support: Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
Qualifications:
- Education: Completion of a practical nursing program from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Current and valid LPN license in PA.
- Experience: Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred but not required.
- Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or equivalent may be required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, move, and support patients as needed.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Manual dexterity to perform medical tasks.
Work Environment:
- Clinical setting with potential exposure to infectious materials.
- Requires occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call hours.
