The Commissioning Engineer supports engineering and design services for electrical infrastructure projects serving the regional power grid and industrial sectors. This role oversees on-site commissioning of electrical systems and components, ensuring alignment with engineered designs, grid requirements, and industry standards. The engineer analyzes system behavior, validates design intent through testing, prepares technical documentation, and ensures a structured handover to customer personnel. The position requires strong analytical and conceptual skills to resolve complex electrical and system-integration issues across multidisciplinary environments.
Responsibilities:
Plan and execute commissioning activities for electrical infrastructure, power systems, and industrial installations
Verify electrical designs through system testing, validation, and functional checks
Analyze system performance, grid interaction, and behavior of interconnected electrical components
Prepare and maintain commissioning reports, test records, and as-built documentation
Execute system handover and provide technical briefings to customer and operations teams
Perform electrical system optimizations, parameter settings, and configuration adjustments
Contribute to admittance, routine, and type tests as a test engineer
Specify, determine, or support selection of required electrical test equipment
Provide functional leadership or supervisory guidance to on-site commissioning staff
Collaborate with design, engineering, and grid stakeholders to meet project milestones
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
3–5 years of experience in electrical design, power systems, or commissioning
Strong knowledge of power generation, transmission & distribution, substations, and industrial electrical systems
Proficiency in electrical system integration, testing methodologies, and design validation
Experience supporting regional power grids and industrial electrical infrastructure
Excellent analytical, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills
