Shift 3: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM Sunday - Thursday
We are seeking an Operations Technologist to autonomously set up equipment, execute sanitation, and support pilot/plant trials across multiple platforms with a focus on cereal operations. This role requires strong equipment operation, food safety compliance, and technical troubleshooting skills while supporting cross-functional teams. You will operate in a dynamic manufacturing environment, ensuring efficient system performance, high-quality output, and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Responsibilities:
Operate and set up processing equipment with focus on equipment efficiency and process optimization
Lead and execute equipment sanitation and perform post-clean inspections
Ensure compliance with food safety, human safety, and conduct risk assessments
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control systems issues
Train and coach team members on unit operations and system usage
Support multiple platforms and adapt to changing production needs
Maintain documentation and utilize basic computer systems (MS Office)
Handle materials and operate powered equipment (pallet jacks, lifts)
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Experience with processing equipment, pilot plant/plant operations, or similar environment
Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and technical troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of GMP, food safety standards, and safety protocols
Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and work in varying plant conditions
Strong communication, team leadership, and training/coaching abilities
Familiarity with mechanical systems, electrical controls, and sanitation processes
Ability to work flexible shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed
Preferred:
1+ years of relevant experience
Background in food manufacturing, laboratory operations, or CPG industry
