We are seeking a Project Manager to support operational optimization and digital transformation initiatives within a transformer retrofit and refurbishment manufacturing facility. The role focuses on improving workflows, enabling data-driven operations, and supporting scalable digital solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and IT teams to streamline processes, enhance operational efficiency, and support the implementation of modern digital tools and AI-driven initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Lead initiatives that leverage AI technologies, digitalization, and data-driven operations to improve operational efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and quality to gather process requirements and identify improvement opportunities.
Perform process mapping and process analysis using tools such as Visio or Draw.io to identify automation and standardization opportunities.
Support data collection and structuring to enable AI/ML initiatives and digital twin development.
Identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, and implementation of digital tools.
Utilize data analytics tools such as Alteryx and Power BI to support insights and operational decision-making.
Assist in building low-code applications using Mendix to replace manual processes and accelerate digital transformation.
Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to improve operational processes and scalability.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
Up to 2 years of experience in digital transformation, project management, or operational excellence within manufacturing or engineering environments.
Experience with process documentation, process mapping, and data analysis tools.
Familiarity with Visio, Draw.io, Alteryx, Power BI, and Mendix is preferred.
Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
Must be able to commute to the Charlotte area and be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
