Job Description


We are seeking an experienced Welder/Fabrication Technician to support night shift operations (Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM–2:30 AM). This role is responsible for fabricating and welding filtration systems, pipe assemblies, and structural equipment using detailed blueprints and work orders. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical welding expertise, independent judgment, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate filtration equipment, piping, and structural components from blueprints, work orders, and BOMs

  • Interpret and apply AWS welding symbols and codes

  • Perform GMAW (MIG) and FCAW welding processes

  • Select proper welding wire, shielding gases, and set wire feed speed/voltage for balanced arc performance

  • Operate preheat cutting torch, stud welder, and overhead crane

  • Maintain compliance with AWS-1G unlimited thickness or ASME Section IX (ASTM Section 9) certifications

  • Complete shop documentation, utilization reports, rework sheets, and routing updates

  • Ensure adherence to safety policies, quality procedures, and housekeeping standards

  • Review and resolve drawing discrepancies, ECNs, routings, and material issues

  • Train team members on welding and fabrication procedures as needed

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of fabrication and welding experience

  • Proven knowledge of American Welding Society (AWS) codes and symbols

  • Proficiency in GMAW and FCAW welding processes

  • Certification in AWS-1G or ASME Section IX preferred

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Basic computer literacy preferred

  • Strong attention to safety, quality, and productivity standards
