Sr. Electrical Engineer

Job Description :
Our client is looking for an Sr. Electrical Engineer who will be responsible for the implementation of the facility reliability and maintenance strategy.

  • Provide technical expertise, ensure maintainability of new equipment installations

  • Identify and correct chronic and costly equipment problems though Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

  • Primary focus on reliability of the plant instrumentation and electrical equipment by - improving procedures / optimizing maintenance strategies / developing predictive maintenance practices; / optimizing preventative maintenance tasks

  • Provide technical advice to the maintenance and plant personnel

  • Provides engineering support for plant issues impacting production

  • Provide project support and help develop MET on new instrumentation and electrical installations

  • Maintain and analyze equipment data to predict maintenance Engineering/Maintenance needs

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering – Required!

  • Min 7yrs maintenance experience in a chemical and/or industrial manufacturing facility

  • Previous experience working at an Electrical Generator Plant - A Plus!

  • Proficient w/ MS Office

  • Knowledge of industrial plant equipment and maintenance practices

  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment

  • Understanding of NFPA; National Electric code; IEEE

  • Previous experience with HART; Field Care DTM system; DeviceNet; DCS System and Controls; VFD Setup and Programming; Low and Medium Voltage Electrical Equipment

  • Previously involved in plant assessment studies in an effort to implement corrective action to maintain or improve plant conditions

  • Knowledge and understanding of predictive technologies, maintenance repair and troubleshooting techniques, and planning, scheduling, and reliability principles

  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems quickly in field

  • Skills to be successful: Friendly – ability to communicate with all levels of internal and external personnel, a positive attitude, motivated, self-starter, ability to be flexible and adapt to change as needed, and collaborative team player
