Mechanical Assembly Technician

If you are looking for an opportunity to contribute your skills and knowledge our client is looking for a Medical Assembly Technician.


 


In this role you will be responsible for the assembly and repair pneumatic low and high-pressure packing pumps in the production line.



  • Read, understand, and follow assembly prints

  • Build finished assemblies within defined time standards and with high level of quality

  • Troubleshoots assemblies and makes appropriate adjustments/corrections to hardware.

  • Maintain a record / document of assembly process, progress, and problems

  • Build finished assemblies within defined time standards and with high level of quality

  • Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines.

  • Assist other team members and performs other jobs as need for production

  • Computerized tickets system and PM.


 


Salary: $DOE/ hr (contract)


Schedule:  FT, M-F, 8am – 5pm

Required Qualifications :


  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Previous experience in pneumatic pumps and equipment – Required!

  • Previous experience w/ Electro/Mechanical components

  • Previous experience in manufacturing – Preferred!

  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office products and email

  • Knowledgeable of integration processes, concepts, alternatives, and best practices

  • Ability to read engineering schematics and drawings

  • Previous experience using assembly hand tools- crimp tools, drills, torque wrenches, rivet and insertion tools etc.

  • Previous experience using a variety of precision measuring and gauging instruments - scale, calipers, micrometers, etc.

  • Skills to be successful - quick learner, follow direction, problem solve, multitask, and good communication skills

  • Collaborative Team Player and ability to work with a diverse staff

  • Ability to adapt to changes to promote efficiency and productivity

  • Must be flexible and available to work overtime as needed

  • Standing, bending, reaching, and handling bulky parts with the ability to frequently lift to 35 pounds
