Job Description :

Our client is a Leading global manufacturer and distributor of animal health products and veterinary pharmaceuticals.  They currently have an immediate need for a Microbiologist.  In this role you will perform environmental monitoring, antibiotic assay analysis, sterility testing, microbial limit testing, and microbial identification to support Production needs in a non-sterile pharmaceutical company.

  • Receive and Log all samples

  • Media Prep and Growth Promotion

  • Environmental monitoring of production areas

  • Perform antibiotic assay analysis for raw materials, finished products and stability samples

  • Perform out-of-spec investigations

  • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain instrument s in the lab: UV-VIS, Autoclave, TOC Analyzer

  • Review and revise procedures as needed to be in compliance

  • Develop and validate testing methods used in routine analysis of incoming raw materials and finished products

  • Provide tech support- area of microbiology to Manufacturing and Validation depts

  • Water sampling and testing per schedule

  • Work with FDA compliance officers during inspections

  • Assist in writing validation protocols, project report, updating laboratory documents, SOPs and test methods


Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelors Degree – science related field

  • 1-5 years of Microbiology exp

  • Knowledge and troubleshooting of autoclaves and TOC analyzers

  • Previous experience – FDA, Canadian Health and/or EU regulated Pharmaceutical manufacturing environment – A Plus!

  • Excellent Communication and Written skills

  • Proficient with MS Office

  • Problem solver, detail oriented, motivated, multi-taker

  • Positive team attitude

  • Knowledge and experience of continuous improvement programs – A Plus!
