Job Description :
Our client is a Minnesota company who manufactures and markets many branded consumer products. Their history dates to back the mid 1800’s.
The Microbiology Lab Technician, will be responsible for
- Facilitating analytical testing
- Providing support and flexibility related to the analysis of samples in the lab
- Document results and review data
- Investigate any technical discrepancies
- Develop a strong knowledge of the analytical methods being used to analyze samples
Salary: $DOE / hr (long term contract)
Schedule: 40 hrs, M-F, OT and weekends as needed

Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology – Preferred!
- Or Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology or related field
- 1-3 years of Previous experience in Microbiology
- Knowledge of microbiological plating techniques
- Basic lab skills - aseptic technique, pipetting, and serial dilutions
- Knowledge of laboratory quality systems, statistics, and document control - ISO 17025 experience – Preferred!
- Ability to manually calculate analytical test results
- Strong knowledge and background of analytical instrumentation
- Skills to be successful -Positive Attitude, Ability to coordinate multiple tasks, Problem Solver, Flexible and Adaptable, Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with MSOffice Word, Excel
- Collaborate Team Player
