Payroll Administrator / Manager

Job Description :
We are in search of a “self-motivated” Payroll Administrator/Manager for a rapidly growing staffing agency operating throughout the United States. You will be responsible for overseeing all payroll and regulatory requirements for four (4) related entities.


The successful candidate will need to be able to multi-task and quickly adapt to a variety of circumstances during the workday. Must be able to work effectively with and supervise a diverse employee base, both on-shore and off-shore.


In this role you will need to be:

  • Researching and determining the best payroll/accounting/hr platform to seamlessly integrate processes for all companies and managing the transition

  • Work with Offshore Teams to setup and train them on payroll and recordkeeping best practices

  • Oversee payroll and HR functions to ensure that security best practices are being followed

  • Provide financial analysis tools to evaluate potential contracts for viability and profitability

  • Interface with a variety of customers, vendors, regulatory agencies and other entities such as outside audit firms, attorneys and insurance companies and agents

  • Maintain familiarity with the various state requirements and tax treatment of individuals in the US on different types of Visas

  • Maintain and ensure compliance with tax treatment as employees move to different locations or have a change in Visa status

  • Manage and oversee all payroll, sales and use tax and related filings and payments, contact agencies as needed to resolve any notices, letters or bills received

  • Manage and oversee regulatory filings and registrations with various state and local agencies and maintain an ongoing familiarity with changes in requirements

  • Keep current on all changing and evolving state laws w/ regard to benefit requirements and ensure that the Company is in compliance in each state (all 50 states)

  • Maintain compliance with all ACA and COVID-19 related regulations

  • Maintain documentation and interface with any required agencies

  • Other duties as necessary



Schedule:  Monday – Friday, 40hrs, 8am – 5pm

Salary:  $DOE/ yr + Benefits

Location:  Onsite in our Alpharetta, GA office



Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or a related field – Preferred!

  • Min 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably within the Staffing Industry – A Plus!

  • CPP, Certified Payroll Manager or SHRM or HRCI certification – A Plus!

  • Familiarity with a variety of accounting, payroll, and financial software – Required!

  • MS Office Suite, Expert knowledge in Excel

  • Ability to respond effectively to complaints and protect sensitive information

  • Excellent Presentation Skills

  • Excellent Supervisory skills

  • Excellent Research Skills and a willingness to jump in and assist both management and subordinates wherever needed – Required!
