Job Description :

Our client is looking for a Subcontract Manager. The primary responsibility of this role is for identifying, qualifying, selecting and managing subcontractor compliance to project requirements (scope, schedule, quality, and budget) directly associated with current contracts. These products and services are to be secured at competitive cost, quality, and delivery levels consistent with Company policy and performance standards.


Additional responsibilities include but not limited to:



  • Timely planning, scheduling of receipt and delivery to production control

  • Establish strategic plans and objectives in conjunction with project managers and principal engineers for sourcing short and long-term project needs

  • Use sourcing best practices to identify and evaluate suppliers/contractors for recommendation to the project team. 

  • Conduct Supplier Assessments 

  • Coordinate with suppliers/contractors, engineering, and project management to finalize specifications

  • Develop and initiate Requests for Quotation (RFQs).  

  • Negotiate complex contract "Terms and Conditions" to optimize client advantage, deliver competitive advantage to the company and minimize risk 

  • Conduct Supplier Relationship Management activities to ensure that scope, schedule, and budget are met.  

  • Ensure On-time and accurate invoicing and subcontract project accounting & reporting.

  • Effectively communicate with other departments 

  • Provide support to Sales and Marketing in proposal efforts


 
Required Qualifications :


  • BA degree – Preferred!

  • or equivalent combination of education, training and relevant work experience

  • Min 5 to 7 years of prior relevant experience in procurement and subcontract management, including supplier qualification, RFQ analysis, contract labor terms and conditions, contract processing insurance indemnification and lien certifications directly related to construction and heavy manufacturing, major fabrications, equipment design, installation, and services

  • Strong negotiating experience with higher dollar values and complex investment projects and contracts

  • Ability to write, edit and amend contracts

  • Collaborative Team Player and Relationship builder - International experience -Required!

  • Ability to read and interpret common technical information and drawings

  • Proficiency with MS Office applications and related industry software

  • Proficient and demonstrated Project Management skills

  • Proficient in English to manage existing contracts and General Contractor change orders

  • Previous experience with BIM360 and PKM- Preferred!

  • Proficient in English to manage existing contracts and General Contractor change orders

  • Ability to read and interpret common technical information and drawings

  • Proficiency with MS Office applications and related industry software

  • Ability to travel – 40% - Domestic and International

  • Valid Driver’s License – Required!

  • Must be ITAR compliant
