Do you have a passion for the creation of food and the packaging of food?


Our client is looking for a Technical Mechanical Instructor.  This is a 12-month contract. You will work in partnership as part of a technical training team.


 


In this role you will be accountable for teaching technical/mechanical curriculum to Manufacturing Technicians to build their foundation of Tech/Mech skills. You will learn content and delivery for 11 Technical/Mechanical standard courses (including hands-on demonstrations, and knowledge transfer verification) in our Mechanical Lab



  • The focus is to model, coach and develop capability across all departments in the plant in accordance w/ content and delivery standards

  • Demonstrate safety first mindset, be a subject matter expertise and present/instruct in a professional manner

  • Instruct groups of 6 - 10 students

  • Participate in content modification and creation

  • Mechanical Lab upkeep duties - staging of lab stations and exercises


 


Schedule: Fixed FT schedule, including a split schedule on Tuesdays and Thursday to train the night shift


Salary:  $DOE/ hr, (contract)

Required Qualifications :


  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Previous experience instructing students in a manufacturing environment

  • Demonstrated ability to instruct w/ safety first mindset

  • Demonstrated strong mechanical and maintenance background

  • Demonstrated strong teaching and presentation skills, including ability to adjust to various learning styles

  • Ability to perform hands-on demonstrations and assess knowledge transfer

  • Ability to consistently instruct curriculum according to Tech/Mech program defined standards

  • Strong interpersonal skills to create a positive learning environment

  • Collaborative Team Player

  • Ability to be flexible in order to support the needs of the Tech/Mech program

  • Skills to be successful - effective verbal and written communication skills, detail oriented w/ strong organization and time management skills

  • Ability to give and receive feedback and coach others as needed
